Only a small one but satisfying none the less. This is actually (and frustratingly) my biggest ever online score in six years of poker and god knows how many tournaments. I have concentrated on them quite a lot more this year and feel my tournament game has progressed a decent amount. When people talk about tournaments they often mention the variance involved but I actually think even some of the long-term grinders underestimate it.
It turned out well because there was this article which detailed how a fellow pkr cash grinder Japete was going for his third win in a row in this tournament. I was on his table with about 20 people left and watched him win about five flips in a row so figuired I was pretty much aiming for second place as he couldn't possibly lose. Anyway we got heads-up and I managed to find a way to beat him eventually getting in KK vs his AJ (easy game) after grinding him down to 8bbs.
Apparently with tournaments when you win one you often win another one soon after (London bus syndrome or something) so I'm expecting to take down the Sunday Million anytime now.
